Hello and welcome to the next post in my European Alphabet Challenge story. I am now half way through the 2026/27 season with Liverpool and I can now show you what a season we’ve had so far. It has been very good and I seriously think that this is the season we get out of England…. and into Finland. What a move.
As you can see we had a fantastic run of results, with our only loss coming 1-2 to Blackburn, (they are actually good now), and a few draws too. The best results have come against Manchester Utd, 1-0 and 4-2. We also have made it again, into the Capital One Cup final, and have reached the 4th Round of the FA Cup, however a 0-0 draw against Norwich means we have a replay.
So we currently sit in 2nd place, with a game in hand over Man City, which if we win… we go top. We can also get free of 3rd and 4th by some margin by winning the games in hand. Hopefully we can continue our top form and reach the top spot in English football.
Here’s just a quick image to show how the Europa League Group finished. We drew Werder bremen in the Round of 32.
Joel Vogt has obviously been our best player this season, topping the average rating and No. of POTM awards charts. He also sits in 2nd in the goals tally. The only disappointing thing about the player stats is that we only have 1 other player in it. That player is DC, Fons Doornbos, who has the 3rd best average rating this season.
Here is Joel Vogt:
With 20 dribbling and finishing, he clearly knows how to beat a man and score a goal.
